Roller Stone for Wrinkles, and Fine lines

What is Roller Stone?

Roller stone is a centuries-old Chinese tool that is used for skin care. Its shape is like a paint roller and is made up of stone. It consists of one larger roller stone to use on the cheek, chin, neck, and forehead and one smaller roller stone to use around the eyes. This is designed to roll across the skin for complexion-perfecting purposes.

What does Roller Stone Do?

Roller stone is a beauty secrete recommended by many beauty experts for wrinkles and fine lines. It is like a workout for the face and the neck and visibly uplifts cheekbones. This tool is used for facial massage and it is as successful as any other form of facial massage.

Roller stone is effective in toning, firming skin to boost blood circulation, reducing puffiness and inflammation, enhancing facial glow, faltering fine lines, sculpting, improving skin elasticity, helping in detoxifying the face, tightening the sagging skin, and penetrating skincare products (serum, oil, moisturiser) faster and better.

Wrinkles and fine lines can be relieved by re-energising the flow of lymph and draining the excess fluid. It stimulates the Lymph System that resides stagnant beneath the skin tissue. Lymph fluid is like 'bathwater' for the cells and helps in refreshing the skin and replenishing the nutrients but if it is not in motion; it holds onto toxins and tension created by daily facial expressions. Roller stone aids in moving this fluid again by opening the blockages. It treats the root cause of ageing by managing the lymph system to boost circulation, improve cell turnover, and promote healing naturally.

Roller stone relaxes the facial tissue, allowing the lymph fluid to drain, resulting in smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. This process aids in flowing lymph and 'chi' energy in the meridian system - achieving balance and harmony. Meridian is a concept of an 'energy highway' in traditional Chinese medicine. According to them, it is the path through which life energy 'Chi' (Qi or Ki) flows. Each meridian has many acupuncture points along with its path and the benefits of acupuncture are also extraordinary.

Types of Roller Stone

Roller stones can be of different variations and colours. It usually comes along with gua sha stone in a box. Following are its types and one can choose any of them according to their wish and facial needs.

Jade Roller Stone

Jade roller stone is a green colour roller stone. It has good energy waves that have a positive effect on the skin. It soothes the mind and nourishes the skin by relieving irritability.

Oriental women use it to look younger as it helps in smoothing wrinkles, and fine lines, and slowing down the ageing process. This roller stone's beneficial energy waves pass through the deep tissues and boost natural healing.

For the anti-inflammatory effects, place this roller stone in the fridge for maximum cooling and use it for the best results. It is one of the most common roller stones that improves blood circulation, enhances skin tones, boosts facial brightening, and increases facial elasticity.

The Jade roller has more resistance on the skin as it is not as smooth and silky as other roller stones like amethyst or rose quartz. Because of this, it has more impact on the solid tissue and has a better outcome for the fine lines and face lifting.

Amethyst Roller Stone

Amethyst is a gemstone of purple colour. It is a natural sedative and its roller stone has a crystalline lattice that drives healing icons deep into the cells to give a soothing effect to the inflammation, levelling the wrinkles, and flush off lymphatic toxins and puffiness.

Using amethyst roller stones on the temples relieves stress and can give harmony and balance. For better rest, place it in the fridge for a while before using it.

Rose Quartz Roller Stone

Rose quartz is a pink colour stone and it encourages deep inner healing. Its roller stone tightens the appearance of the pores, reduces signs of puffiness, fades dark circles, calms and soothes irritated skin, and so on.

The ultra-smooth surface texture of rose quartz is perfect when wanting to give some 'me' time and enhance self-love.

The use of this roller stone aids in relaxing the mind and relieving stress. Rose quartz roller stone gives a younger and brighter complexion while stimulating the body's natural detoxification process like other roller stones. It is known for its ability to smooth wrinkles better. These roller stones stay cool while jade is warm with the skin because of their adaptive nature.

Obsidian Roller Stone

Ebony in colour, obsidian roller stone has powerful energy waves that bring imbalance (acne, eczema, psoriasis) from the skin to the surface and then release them. It's supposed that this gemstone extract toxicity is good for muscle tissues.

With amazing healing properties, the obsidian roller stone promotes balance and peace by relieving stress and strain. This roller stone helps in preventing breakouts, tightening saggy skin, and giving a more radiant complexion.

Blue Sodalite Roller Stone

Blue sodalite is a deep blue colour stone that can treat inflammation and make your skin healthy. This roller stone flows placid energy to the skin and is suitable for all skin types. Due to natural variation in stones, each blue sodalite stone is distinctive in its pattern and colour.

Like other roller stones, this also reduces puffiness and the appearance of pores while improving skin texture and tone. It works wonders as a calming massager and provides a cooling sensation for relieving stress.

Red Jasper Roller Stone

The blood-red hue of the red jasper roller stone is not only eye-catching but also ideal for mature skin. This roller stone increases cellular turnover, prevents wrinkles, and enhances face elasticity.

Clear Quartz Roller Stone

Clear quartz roller stone has surprising healing qualities. It's made up of high silica content which may not be as good as other roller stones, however, according to beauty experts, it can be used with other crystals to amplify its incredible potential.

Can I use Roller Stone every day?

For a good result, use a roller stone on daily basis and after the skincare routine. Sometimes it's impossible to use it on daily basis then try to use 5 minutes at least two to three times per week as the results are not long-lasting therefore using it regularly would give a difference in a couple of weeks.

There is no harm in using a roller stone every day if one can, in fact, it's recommended by many dermatologists to use it daily for the best outcome. For skin-deep results, one can use it twice a day - morning and evening. These roller stones are cold and give soothing calmness so one can use them whenever needed.

Avoid using a roller stone harshly on the skin as it can aggravate acne and cause irritation.

How to Use Roller Stone on the Face?

First, cleanse the face and apply a suitable moisturiser or oil to it.

Place a larger roller stone on the cheek or chin and move it towards the ear by applying little to medium pressure. Repeat this procedure 5-6 times. Now change the starting spots for the roller stone (gradually up or down the entire cheek) and move it towards the ear. Do the same process to the other side of the face.

Next, start the roller stone from the middle of the forehead and end by moving it towards the temple. Again repeat this procedure 5-6 times.

Then gently move the roller stone around the closed eye in the direction from the side of the nose to the temple. Also, you can move it from down to up direction. Repeat this a few times.

Finally, move the roller stone from the jawline down the neck to drain toxins via lymphatic drainage while releasing the blockage in the tissues. If wanting to lift a double chin, move it in an upward direction from neck to jawline. For the amazing effects, use it after applying Vitamin C serum to the face. How do You Wash Roller Stone?

Cleaning a rolling stone is easy and it can be done by simply wiping them with a damp cloth or soft towel. For stubborn dirt and debris, use a gentle soap or cleanser to kill bacteria and dry on a soft towel or leave them to dry on their own. Another simple way is to clean them in running water for a minute and then dry them with a clean cloth. Avoid soaking roller stones in the water.
