Deficiency of Vitamin B12 causes Hyperpigmentation, Vitiligo and pale hue. Hyperpigmentation is dark patches or spots on the skin; Vitiligo is the loss of skin colour in patches - causes an uneven tone. Vitamin B12 Benefits for the Hair:

Vitamin B12 is recommended to people having thin hair or hair loss. In men, hair loss is mostly genetic while in women, Vitamin B12 improves hair quality and promotes healthy hair cells production. Vitamin B12 may also help in thwarting premature hair greying. It encourages the production of red blood cells that nourishes hair follicles. After regular taking Vitamin B12 supplements, it usually takes 3 months to see a difference in hair health. Many times, Vitamin B12 deficiency for women hair loss is an oversight by GP so it's better to have a test if concerned about hair fall.  For more tips on healthy hair, check the post  Vitamin E Benefits for Hair.

Vitamin B12 Benefits for the Nails:

Vitamin B12 deficiency results in brittle, fragile and abnormal nails. Vitamin B12 aids in the production of oxygen-rich red blood cells that also feed nails and it may help in giving shiny strong nails.

Vitamin B12 Benefits on Health:

Vitamin B12 just not only helps in looking pretty but it also helps in feeling good. Following are it's benefits on health.

Vitamin B12 Improves Depression and Anxiety:

Vitamin B12 Helps in Red Blood Cells Formation - Prevent Anemia:

Red blood cells carry oxygen through hemoglobin in the body. Vitamin B12 assists in the production of red blood cells. Sometimes the reason for anemia (fewer red blood cells) in the body is the deficiency of vitamin B12 that causes fatigue and languidness. Anemia due to a deficiency in vitamin  B12 is a gradual process but can become complicated if remains untreated.

Vitamin B12 Helps in Improving Heart Health:

In menopause, women suffer from physical and mental fatigue, Vitamin B12 benefits in reducing these symptoms. During menopause, women may suffer from a low level of Vitamin B12 that leads to anemia; gives fatigue. Vitamin B12 boosts energy in women going through menopause by increasing the body's iron level. It also helps in good night sleep; it encourages the production of melatonin that is sleep hormones. As growing older, the body becomes less productive in producing these hormones so taking Vitamin B12 benefits in maintaining a good level of these hormones.

Vitamin B12 Benefits for Weight Loss:

Vitamin B12 helps in weight loss by increasing the body's metabolism. Vitamin B12 injections are given for shedding extra pounds.
