Hair is an important part of beauty but if it's not healthy and strong then it makes us worried. Thinning hair and hair falling out are a concern for many people. For good, healthy, and bouncy hair, you need to know, what your scalp and hair need. Hair gets dry and frizzy when you don't care about them. Like other body parts, the hair also needs care and the right nutrition to grow and look healthy. There are different tips that can help you to make your hair strong and healthy. Therefore, I am going to write about vitamin E benefits for hair.

Vitamin E For Hair loss:

Hair loss is common and there can be different reasons for it. Hair loss can be caused by a lack of vitamins and minerals in the body or it can be simply because of genes. Oxidative stress also links to hair loss.

vitamin E

Vitamin E has antioxidant properties. It helps to reduce oxidative stress on the scalp. Oxidative stress is actually caused by an imbalance between antioxidants and free radicals in our bodies. When we breathe with Oxidative stress, free radicals in the body start damaging oxidised cells. As we know, Vitamin E has antioxidant properties so it helps to repair cells, reduce free radical damage and stop hair fall.

Vitamin E Supplements:

It's recommended to fulfil your vitamin and mineral deficiencies through food but there are also vitamin E supplements available in the market. Before starting any medication consult with the pharmacist first. Vitamin E supplements are easily available and it is thought that vitamin E helps to improve the immune system. They are widely used in skincare and hair care products.

It's powerful antioxidant properties that rejuvenate skin and hair cells.  It repairs damaged cells and encourages the growth of healthy hair.

Vitamin E Oil:

Vitamin E oil hair massage improves blood circulation in the scalp and makes hair stronger. Antioxidants in vitamin E oil repair damaged hair follicles and frizz. It makes hair shiny by coating it with a protective layer. It moisturises and nourishes hair.

Sunflower oil is rich in vitamin E. Olive oil, soybean and almond oil are also rich in it. You can also buy pure vitamin E oil but you need to dilute it with a carrier oil before using it. Most vitamin E oils are already diluted in the market because pure vitamin E can give a skin rash.

Vitamin E Hair Mask:

Just like a face mask, we can use a hair mask for healthy hair. A hair mask soothes the scalp's skin and encourages the growth of new hair.

For the hair masks, First, you've to mix vitamin E oil with castor oil, coconut oil, and aloe vera gel then massage your hair for 5 mins and leave it for an hour to absorb well in the hair and scalp then wash off with warm water. You can use shampoo and conditioner to have vitamin E afterwards.

You can also make a hair mask in different ways. For more, homemade hair mask recipes, you can check post-Vitamin E Hair Mask.

Bottom Line:

Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that help in repairing hair follicles and increasing the growth of hair. Too much intake or application of vitamin E can be dangerous for health and skin so the best way to get vitamin E is from food rather than supplements for skin or hair, always mix it with a carrier oil to avoid irritation.

Keep in mind that male pattern baldness or female pattern baldness, PCOS hair loss, thinning crown, or bald patches on the head can be caused by underlying health conditions or can be genetic. Receding hairline in men is common so discuss these issues with the doctor for a better understanding of the conditionAlso, in recent years, the Science of Dermatology and Hair Restoration became quite advanced so one can also look for alternative hair restoration treatments.
