Benefits of Aloe Vera for Acne Scars - Smeh Beautytips

What Is Aloe Vera and Why We Need Aloe Vera for Acne Scars?

Aloe Vera is a plant and a type of shrub that is short-stemmed (have succulent leaves) from which Aloe Vera gel is extracted. It grows in a tropical environment and mostly found in Sudan. It has been widely used for treating different skin conditions. Aloe Vera gel is enriched in nutrition that is quite good for both health and beauty. It contains seven essential amino acids and twelve non-essential amino acids. It also contains enzymes, anthraquinone, lignins, folic acid, choline, hormones, sterols, saponins, minerals, salicylic acid, Vitamins A, C, E, and B 12.

Aloin is a yellow-brown coloured compound in the Aloe Vera gel that helps in clearing acne or pimple scars that are left after the pimples are healed. Its anti-oxidant property protects from cell damage. However, Aloe Vera can't fade depressed scars as they are formed by losing skin cells. It's beneficial in treating mild to moderate acne scars in which skin cells aren't lost. Cystic acne can seriously affect the skin and hard to go on its own. It's a sort of skin infection that is caused by blocked pores.  Aloe Vera is just not only helps in fading pesky scars but it also helps in preventing breakouts. It's better to avoid breakouts rather worrying for leftover scars. Check post.'How To Treat Pimples'.

Those having blemishes or hyperpigmentation can use Aloe Vera daily to rejuvenate the skin cells. There are also other natural ways to fade blemishes, Check post'6 Tips To Treat Face Blemishes'.

Aloe Vera Recipes for Acne Scars:

Aloe Vera and Lemon Mixture:

Aloe Vera and Lemon mixture help in fading acne scars faster. Lemon has vitamin C that contains antioxidants that neutralize free radicals and fillip collagen production. The citric acid in lemon helps in lightening the skin while Aloin in Aloe Vera helps in banishing acne and fading scars.

Squeeze half a lemon juice. Mix it with one teaspoon of water and one teaspoon of aloe vera. Apply on the face for 20-30 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water. It cleanses excess oil from the skin and slough off dead skin cells. Do this method regularly and a difference will be noticed after 2-3 weeks. This recipe is safe for many people and for sensitive skin, first, test this mixture on the wrist; stop using it if the skin gets irritated.

Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Oil Mixture:

Vitamin E is a popular vitamin because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Vitamin E has antioxidants that not only protect cell damage by free radicals but also fade scar's appearance. There are many skin care products available in the market that contains Vitamin E because of its positive effects on the skin. Together with Aloe Vera healing properties, Vitamin E boots healthy skin cells.

Vitamin E oil is an essential oil so mix 12 drops of Vitamin E Oil with 30 ml carrier oil. Add 2-3 drops of this mixture (Vitamin E Oil + Carrier Oil) in one teaspoon of Aloe Vera and apply on the face. This mixture can be left overnight on the face or can be washed after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.

Aloe Vera and Turmeric Mack:

Tumeric has also anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that are quite effective in treating acne and thwarting bacteria to spread. Turmeric is a natural ingredient that contains curcumin and it helps in reducing the production of excess melanin thus helps in skin lightening and waning acne scars.

Also, turmeric has incredible benefits on health/skin/hair so it's better to add it in the diet; use it on the skin and hair on daily basis, check post '5 Amazing Turmeric Benefits That You Should Know'.

Mix one teaspoon of turmeric with one teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel. Apply it on a clean face and let it dry on it. Wash it with tepid water and pat the skin dry. Do it regularly for as long as it's required.

Sugar can affect different parts of our body but here, I am writing about 5 main reasons to use less sugar in our daily diet.
