How To Get A Lighter Skin Complexion

You look beautiful if you have an even tone and glowy skin but if you want to have a fair complexion then you can try the following tips.

A lighter skin complexion

Use A Right Face Wash & Moisturiser:

You can improve your complexion if you take care of your facial skin on a daily basis. You need to wash your face twice a day with a face wash that suits you. There are different varieties of face wash available in the market so only select a face wash that works on your skin type. If you have blemishes then there are also face washes available for blemishes-prone skin. After face washing, pad dry your face and then always use a good moisturizer. Rosehip oil has amazing benefits on the skin. It doesn't only moisturise your skin but it also helps to lighten your skin colour. You can check its benefits in my post '4 Best Rosehip Oil Uses'.

3 Steps For Face Cleansing:

It's better to do cleansing once or twice a week. It removes dead skin cells and rejuvenates your skin.

1-Cleansing: For cleansing, take a cleanser that suits your skin type and massage gently with your fingertips or you can also use a cleansing brush.
2-Scrubbing & Toning: After cleansing, use a scrub which helps to clear dirt and dead cells and use a proper toner that balances face PH.
3-Face Mask: After toner, use a face mask. Aztec healing clay is getting popular for its various benefits, by continuous use, it'll clear your complexion and tighten your skin pores. You'll see a good difference in your skin appearance within a few months.

Skin Lightening Foods And Masks:

There are skin-lightening masks available in the market but you can make your own mask at home. Homemade masks are harmless and cheap. You can mix different healthy ingredients or use only one at a time.
Following are some home remedies you can try.

Apply Lemon Juice on the Face:

Lemon has been used as a skin-lightening agent for a long time. It contains vitamin C which helps to promote the growth of new cells. Lemon also has antioxidants which protect against ageing and improves facial complexion.
You can dilute lemon juice with water. Take an equal part of both liquids and apply them on the face. Allow it to dry for almost 20 minutes and then wash it off. You can also make a paste of diluted lemon juice and turmeric. Turmeric is used for a clear and even-tone face complexion. Apply it for 20 minutes then wash it off.

Apply Orange Peel Or Juice On the Face:

Oranges are a good source of vitamin C and help to lighten facial complexion. Drinking orange juice also makes your complexion lighter and glowy. You can buy orange peels or you can also make a paste of orange juice and turmeric. Apply it on your face and leave it for 20 minutes then wash it off.

Take Vitamin B3:

Vitamin B3 is useful in treating hyperpigmentation. It helps to clear dark spots and makes your complexion fair. This vitamin also reduces the chances of skin cancer. Vitamin B3 is found in meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, green leafy vegetables, and green peas. Vitamin B3 supplements are also available in the market but first, take advice from a pharmacist.

Skin Lightening Creams:

Skin lightening cream can also help in lightening your complexion. It usually contains hydroquinone and corticosteroids. It's better to use creams that contain natural ingredients otherwise chemicals can harm your skin. It's highly recommended to use reputable lightening cream brands or ask a doctor for advice on using fairness creams.

Laser Treatment:

Laser treatment is also an option but this option doesn't suit all people and it's also costly. The laser actually damages the skin cells that produce melanin or it can remove the outer skin layer. It depends on your personal choice which option you choose.

How To Prevent Skin From Getting Darker:

Dark or dull skin can be caused by sun exposure, poor health or it's simply genes. In order to prevent your skin from getting dull or darker, try to find what causes it. If it's because of sun exposure then use proper sun cream. We shouldn't ignore The Importance Of Suncream, it doesn't only protect your complexion but also protects your skin cells from damage by the sun's harmful rays. If a darker complexion is caused by poor health then try to improve your diet and if it's genetic then cleansing and facial help to lighten skin. There are also skin-lightening injections and treatments available for darker skin.
