How to Lower Blood Pressure Naturally

What is Blood Pressure and Why do You Need to Lower Blood Pressure?

Blood flows with a certain pressure in the circulatory system of the body; this pressure of blood circulation through the wall of blood vessels is called blood pressure.

Blood pressure is measured in 'blood pressure numbers'. One is a higher limit and the other is a lower limit. The higher limit is Systolic Pressure and it's for measuring the force by which the heart pumps blood in the body. The lower limit is Diastolic Pressure which measures the resistance of blood flowing to the blood vessels.

The perfect blood pressure for the body is 120/80mmHg. Higher blood pressure is usually considered when the reading is 140/90mmHg. A person having blood pressure between 120/80mmHg and 140/90mmHg is at risk of developing high blood pressure and precautions can be done to stop developing it.

Higher blood pressure can result in many maladies, therefore, it's always recommended to maintain good blood pressure for a healthy life. Generally, people can develop high blood pressure as they become older but it's not always necessary.

* Be Active:

Being active helps to lower high blood pressure as it increases the heart beating rate. This increase in heart pumping makes blood vessels expand and blood can easily flow through these healthy blood vessels without causing any strain on them.

* Drink Less Caffeinated Drinks:

Drinking fewer caffeinated drinks may help in lowering blood pressure especially if someone isn't habitual in drinking caffeinated drinks. However, there is no clear evidence of how it happens.

* Lose Extra Pounds:

* Sleep Better at Night:

To lower blood pressure try to take a good night's sleep. It doesn't mean to worry about solid eight hours of sleep at night but a short burst of sleep during the day can also help. Those who can't get rest during the day should try to get a better night's sleep to avoid developing high blood pressure.
